MJ's little flock

Sydney has always been clever but it is rare you catch her using that super long neck of hers.

There's been some giraffing at my house lately too. A few posts back, I mentioned the snacking craze that caught on with all the chickens. Well, now that plant is bare except for the leaves at the very top. So there've been some very long necks, tippy toes, and jump-ups going on.

They can be quite light on their feet when needs be.

I've had A DAY.

I'm not overwhelmed, but only because I've pushed some tasks out to later dates. My jaw is very clenched.
Big deep breaths.
This too shall pass.
And to the extent that it is colleagues and other people who have caused this state, I say f@&$-em all!
:hugs

Good guess, a less experienced colleague ruined some of my work when I don't have much time to spare to re-do it. I'm not even sure why she tinkered with it. Maybe she was trying to help, but deleting accurate info I'd written with her best guess (technically, she falsified information) is no help to anyone and also demonstrated she hadn't heard/understood a word I'd spoken. So I've been wasting not only my time, but also my breath. I won't work with her again.

I'm also thinking of her professional development so I'm thinking of ways to be her teacher in this moment. Maybe I can take her aside and tell her with kindness how important listening is in leadership and how important it is to not falsify information and to trust experts, even if you don't understand them yet.

That sounds like a courageous conversation, which, funnily enough, is the training we are having today!
