Mary is wonderful. They all are, but she's my idea of a special hen.

Do the hens at your place talk much?

Oh yes. Constantly!
And while I am not fluent in chicken I can kind of understand some of it. There is lots of soft chirping when they rest together under the butterfly bush. Bernie and Babs talk to each other constantly when they forage. Bernie gets irritable with the Pentagonists (particularly Sylvie) and they all complain about it. And finally, Babs has a call that they all listen to but which I don't fully understand.

I feel properly equipped for sharing videos now. I've got an app that flips videos from landscape to portrait or vice versa. I can send a video to my laptop from the phone. I can upload it to vimeo and get the settings right. I can embed a video in a byc post.

I came out to lock up the Chicken Palace for the night but underestimated the allure of sun-rotting peach flesh to stave off night time starvation.
Here is my full gang (I rarely get them all in one picture!) and a zoom in on Bernie who looks like she ate at least one peach whole!
