MJ's little flock

This is deep into Tribe 1's territory. At the back of the picture where the trees start is a slope and it's pretty treacherous. Somewhere down that slope on the right is one of the coolest spots during the summer months and that's where one can often find the whole tribe. I think two of the hens have nests down there so that might be tomorrows mission; find the nests.

It's very steep with quite dense bushes. Brilliant for chickens! I hope you find the nests sooner than you expect.

Good morning MJ :)
Hello :frow it was delightful. Tonight I'm going to add a gin and tonic and a book to the setting.
That indeed sounds perfect :) I'm thinking about something refreshing and maybe get back into my adult coloring books again. I'm hoping to relax enough to get a good night's sleep for a change.

Here are a few more pictures of Stanley and the kids. I'm still just so proud of him!!

Another wonderful evening. What a great stress reliever. Good morning MJ :frow have a great day. btw, you brought back memories of my early days as an Air Force Officer... It was tradition for the senior guys to drink the new guys under the table (this was a long time ago). I cheated... I'd show up early and pay the bar tender $20 and tell him I'd give him a signal when to switch and my drink of choice was gin and tonic... Once signal given, he continued to charge for the gin (others aka extra tip), but provided just tonic. As a young LT I was always the last guy standing, until my boss changed the rules. Then I was just toast. :gig

He's wonderful. How did you come by such a gentle rooster?

Shear luck, I guess. Anna chose the Barred Rocks herself and we just constantly handle our chickens. I honestly think they pick up how laid back and drama free we our. I don't yell at them, I've never hit them, the other animals have never threatened them.

I hope you do too! You'll be so much better off the next day.
