MJ's little flock

Yesterday's forecast was for a high of 33, but it reached 37.6. That's how unusual the weather is. More than a century of data produces forecasts that are off by almost 4 degrees.

But the hens took it in their stride, with a lot of sitting down under their favourite shady tree and a cool snack around 4pm.

Today's forecast is also for 33 so it'll be another day to let the hens wander where they will.

Both cats visited last night and the last of the scaffolding was taken away five minutes ago.
Maybe the cats were needed for a final inspection before the scaffolding could come down.
What is the next step in the porch MJ?

I'm expecting the renderer any day now.

The painter has taken a look and is working up his quote.

Up to my old tricks...

A pelican swam by but I was too slow to get a photo.

A beach with no one else on it. What a wonderful thing to which to have access. 🥰
There were people about but it's not one of the heavily used beaches - too much sand. Other beaches not far away have a shorter walk to the water.

Your trips to the beach have inspired me. I'm sitting riverfront park in the city's downtown (Harrisburg). It's the closest water to me.

How about this shot of the Market Street Bridge? It's 71°F (22.6°C). An absolutely splendid spring day.
