MJ's little flock

Thanks. It's what Mrs BY Bob wanted and it felt right to me.
I get the feeling that what Mrs BY Bob wants, Mrs BY Bob gets 🙂!

Seriously, my younger self used to joke a bit at all those rituals people have for burying the dead and memorials, but my chicken keeping self has covered the walls of the rest rooms with photos of passed chickens. People think I'm crazy ? Who cares if it makes me feel better ? Now I find that whatever helps you deal with loss more gracefully makes sense.
It is all down to childhood. Someone gave me some Vegemite thinking it was the same as Marmite and I just can’t. To me it tastes very strange!
You're all making me so curious now. I tasted Marmite ages ago and I remember liking it, but I've never tasted Vegemite. I'm not even sure I can find it here! Maybe in Nice with all the Brits living there. What would you say is the difference in taste ?
It's not often Edie is in the frame, but she was being very adorable and I couldn't help myself.

I have a feeling she'll be Mary's successor one day.

I like her tranquility, size, fluffy britches and roly-polyness.
"roly-polyness" ???
What's that ?

You do you. Not sure if that translates too well, but is often accompanied by :hugs

It’s Australian, not British. I wouldn’t have thought the Brits in Nice would have any. However, if you’re ever in London’s Covent Garden and The Australia Shop is still there, they’ll definitely have some. Get a small jar though, it’s an acquired taste. 🤭

It is strange. I compared the ingredients and they are very similar.
I love Marmite and will have the same breakfast as MJ only with Marmite instead of Vegemite.
But to me, Vegemite tastes ‘chemical’.
Very strange.
Marmite is usually available where Brits lurk, though I do often bring it back with me if I check a bag.

My dad also used to like Promite, which I could also never get into.

I remember watching a young American man’s face when he took his first bite of Vegemite; he wasn’t a fan! :D

II’m not English. Didnt learn to enjoy marmite as a kid. Because I had too much trouble with mosquitoes , someone gave the advise to eat marmite . I learned to enjoy the taste.
Its great on a cheese sandwich.

Vegemite is a different stoy. 🤢

Difficult to type with a shoulder fracture. So not much typing. Many tpos.

Delicious.
Weird thing. I got Covid on my travels through Africa. Landed at Heathrow feeling sorry for myself and tested positive.
One of my weirdest symptoms was a very strong craving for anchovies.
I don’t mean I fancied some salty fish. I mean I felt that I would be really ill if I didn’t immediately eat anchovies!
Wish I had thought of Gentleman’s Relish. I probably could have bought it at the airport!
