Yeh. I feel for her. At the same time, I'm glad she didn't lose her eye altogether and that she can eat OK, given enough time.Oh dear. That is sad.

At least she still has that eye and I think her longer-range vision is fine. She often looks at me from several metres away with a direct, front on gaze. It's when she gets within a metre she begins to look out of her good eye.Poor baby. That is heartbreaking.![]()
I love that one of Sandy.I wanted to share a few photos of hens riding in the car on Manue's thread and in searching through the photo library, I found these old chestnuts.

I too love that one of Sandy. She looks like she is contemplating the vastness of the universe, happy in the knowledge that she has her safe, cozy basket.I love that one of Sandy.![]()

The drive to the vet from your house is much longer than the drives I've had to take to the vet, but I sincerely think the hens are OK with being in the car and some of them seem to enjoy it. But they love being home again and (I imagine) are keen to share their news with their friends. Thanks for sharing these and all the ones from trips to the vets on my thread.
It's a bit emotional to look at past pictures of chickens, mostly in a good way- a trip down memory lane.
It was a very still moment.I too love that one of Sandy. She looks like she is contemplating the vastness of the universe, happy in the knowledge that she has her safe, cozy basket.
That picture of Sandy is forever in my heart.I wanted to share a few photos of hens riding in the car on Manue's thread and in searching through the photo library, I found these old chestnuts.
