Ah! Of course. Is it because they're having a picnic, so they should be allowed on the picnic table?
Bleugh. Have you got some Meloxicam handy? I know Edie's having pain-killers, is there any to spare? That's what Dr Kevin prescribed Snowy and it seemed to make her feel more comfortable.
I just thought it was cute they were having a picnic on the picnic table. Don’t mind me, I am easily amused and enchanted.Ah! Of course.
I got confused because they were on the table before I enabled them with a peacharine. They've never been discouraged from the table, I like them up there because it's so cute.
Edie is supposed to have all of what they gave me and as her condition is more pressing than fowl pox I won't divert her medications to Mary. I'll show the photo to the vet next time Edie has an appointment and see if they give me something for her.Bleugh. Have you got some Meloxicam handy? I guess we will have to take your word for it!The youngsters and the hens were delightful this evening but there are no photos or videos because the person *cough me cough* with the camera made a hopeless mess of it.
All of my new little ones are always reluctant to go in and roost with the big girls and boys at first. I have also had to put them in. I even made a few Mabel's World cartoons about some new girls getting integrated with the flock...I will be posting those soon on my thread!Well, they are highly amusing and enchanting
This evening I came in early because I couldn't take the heat and went out again at dusk to close up the funrun. The chicks were not in the roosting box with the big hens. Not on top of the little coop. I could hear them chirping to me. Not on the roosting bar in the little coop. Not in the nest box of the little coop. Chirp chirp. Not on the ground beneath the little coop. Not in the big hens' nest boxes. Chirp chirp, here we are! Where? Chirp chirp, over here! Where? I can't see you! Chirp chirp, we roosted on the back of the bench! Blimey! The foxes would have a field day! One by one I carried them in to roost with the big hens. Sweet little darlings didn't make any fuss, just held on to my hand with their little feet, then carefully stepped on to the branch in the roosting box.
I'll go out again in another hour or so to give Edie her meds.
