Tack. She's having a strange moult. Big bare patches around the front of her neck when as you can see her tail feathers look fabulous.

Her tail is indeed fabulous. I like her look. She is pretty and looks curious about you or the camera.

Lots of moulting going on at the Chicken Palace.
Maggie lost two of her lovely black tail feathers.
The babies leave feathers everywhere but just seem to have an endless supply.
You can tell I am a new chicken keeper as I keep wanting to preserve the best feathers!

That is a spectacular tail! I think she is a pretty hen.

I have to be honest. Much as I love them all, the bantams are in general a strange looking lot.
I look at the pictures of everyone else's hens and think the lot here look like a different species at times.
I think Ribh's Campines are the closest to the chickens here, but the Campines (I hope none of the bantams read this) are better looking.
Bracket is a good looking little hen but then she's mad.
