MJ's little flock

I'm a big funk and soul fan. I quite like Blondie and Queen but it's pop. Great for the Radio but not what I would sit down and listen to. I have albums from both but I rarely listen to them.
If I go out to listen to music I go to a classical concert. I can't listen to classical on my stereo.
I like some modern jazz and big band jazz.
I've got 2390 albums and about 70% are Funk, Jazz and Soul......just saying.....
JJ Cale...?

I have a little funk and soul in my rock and pop collection. Gil Scott Heron is a favourite.

Let me see if I can redeem myself. If your feet aren't tapping you're probably dead.
Probably the greatest brass and wind section ever put togther. What makes it is the drummer has that ability to play fractionaly ahead of the rest of the band and that's what drives the beat.
It doesn't get any better than this.

Ok American friends it's Monday morning here in Australia and Sunday afternoon where you are.

If you're in the mood for it, only if you're in the mood, please give me a good song from the 70s-00s to rocket my week off to a good start :D my ears are ready.
I'll play.
