And the chicken clean up would be so much gentler on the environment!

I'd put a temporary enclosure around the scene to prevent escapees and predation, get some water happening, bring in a few hundred fluffy butts, and leave them to it for a week. They can roost on the crashed out train.

Plenty of poops to nourish the soil. Good grain clean up.

That would be an absolutely amazing way to handle the clean up! I thought the very same thing.

In my area there are 2 farms that rent goats for brush clean-up. The farms provide everything including temp fence, the goats come on eat and fertilize and when the job is done they go away!!

CCCL that's wonderful. They are so wonderful at that age. Enjoy every minute as it will be over in a flash. My youngest turns 38 this year. She always complained that her birthday was too close to Christmas. When she was old enough to understand I explained that she was a wonderful tax deduction As a repeat C we had the choice, 12/27 or 1/4... I chose the tax deduction.

Smart man.

By the way, Ivy can't take a sip from a bowl of water without trying to scratch it up like it's a worm or something. Water sploshes everywhere. What's left in the bowl is filthy.

But she's happy with her wet feet

Tastes more like "wild water" that way.
