Oh no! Sounds like she needs the others body heat. Can you pop her on a roost with the others?

What was the vet's prognosis Were they hopeful?

agree with Ribh - she probably needs the body heat from others on the roost

I put her on the roost, but to do so I took her from a very snug nest. The straw is very thick and she had warmed it up nicely and nor did she have to grip with her feet. Now she'll have cool air under her tummy all night and if she weakens, she'll fall.

I put her on the roost, but to do so I took her from a very snug nest. The straw is very thick and she had warmed it up nicely and nor did she have to grip with her feet. Now she'll have cool air under her tummy all night and if she weakens, she'll fall.

Is she in between the others? I find chickens weird but fresh air [not enough to ruffle feathers] & a safe roost is her normal & will probably perk her up. I really don't think she'll fall. I guess if you're really worried you could put her back... So worrying...

I put her between them but when i went out just now, she was on the floor by herself. I put her back in the nesting box. She slept in it for about a month when she first moved in. It's nice and warm with all that straw to insulate.
