Good morning MJ how have things been? Open house had me busy the last few days, so glad it's over and the weekend

Hi Grammy What does open house mean? Was your own house open for a few days?

I'm a bit conflicted. I want to rush in and keep them all safe but then next time there will be another sale.

So I don't think I can participate in future. I'll go directly to the breeders instead.

I couldn't do that. That's quite awful...
I do buy directly from a very ethical breeder.

It wasn't great. I'm a bit squeamish about things like that. I value chickens for reasons that are unrelated to their economic worth. And the sale converted them all into mere commodities. I might've felt better if they were in pens instead of boxes. One small box had four araucana cockerels in it. They could barely move.

No. She will have a good life. I always feel so sorry for the cockerels. Gonna end up on a dinner plate... Poor things. Not their fault they were born male.
