Congratulations!! That is so exciting. I am sure it is well deserved.

And congratulations BTW. But definitely more chooks.

Thank you! It was rather a long time coming and overdue too. Still, it's a relief after five years of personal challenges. Hopefully now I'm doctored I'll skip up fairly quickly - I already have several important runs on the board, just have to keep racking them up.

If I can find the right pullets, next year II'll take on two more. I'm looking forward to the search And I can't wait to look through all the adverts and go visit breeders! I'm going to get two who already know each other so they can keep company through the big life transitions. I hope it's sooner rather than later because I'd really like it if Janet had someone other than Sandy to pick on. On the other hand I'll be really disappointed if Sandy ends up having to deal with three bullies.

Yep, Pepper has found her place in the flock, right next to Edwina whom she seems to have adopted as a big sister. They are both black birds so that may have something to do with it.

Alice has been roosting all alone in the rabbit hutch for the last week or so. I think she's annoyed that Edwina is letting Pepper snuggle up to her on the same roost at bedtime
