I just happened to see Hinge scuttle into the bushes yesterday and not come out the other side.

They hide them so well. It is amazing. Of course it's all about survival so they need to be very good at it.

Yes thanks. I've been spending lots of time visiting with people, reading and cleaning the house.

With the hens I'm about to go out and spray Sandy for mites and lice again. I've been told they're opportunistic and will spend more time on a sick hen than healthy ones. She's been grooming much more than the other two lately, which in any case is ineffectual with her beak. So it's time she had a little help with her passengers.

Two eggs today now that Mary's back on the job. I think her tally will outrun Janet's within a fortnight.

I called the breeder of the CCLs on Friday. No answer.

I hope you haven't given the breeder any money. That is worrisome she's not returning your calls.

Mary is a trooper!

Gosh I hate those little horrors. Poor Sandy. Glad you're on the job to help her out.
