MJ's little flock

Yep. Mutation happens, people. I am curious to see how the vaccines actually do. Having said that, two companies having promising results is better news than we’ve been seeing. I think it’s ok to be hopeful. It’s been a rough year.
Yup, hopeful is good.:love

I seem to have stopped the supper time attacks by Cillin. Hand feeding Treacle a bit away from the rest but within sight seems to be working. I give Cillin some attention; a quick wattle fondle or a chest stroke when he looks like he might go for Treacle and he seems happy with this.
Thing is, Treacle is spending too much time with me. If I go out, he goes and joins the rest of the tribe. I haven't seen any problems with this. But, when I appear, Treacle comes around to the house.
I like having him here but he should be out with the others. It's something I'm going to have to put some work into. I think it will change when the hens start laying again and Treacle will be busy doing escorts.
Anyway. The man himself.

The chickens you care for really do look wonderful. Have you won the battle against the mites?

Peggy is still doing well with her clavulox on cheese! Her follow up appointment is Thursday morning.

The new pellet-only diet with milk thistle, bioton, and choline supplements added in is starting to take off. Mary loves it. Ivy and Janet tuck in to the mash format before bed and Peggy nibbles disdainfully. I put a mini bale of lucerne hay in their yard for additional forage while we go through this dietary transition.

I'm going to take a sample of their prior food (Laucke's Se17enteen) to show Mark because if he says it's ok, they might as well go back on it. And perhaps Peggy was eating from it selectively and getting all the fattiest grains or something like that. I'm really struggling to see how her liver crashed when the main treats were meal worms and cheese added sparingly to mashes.

:frow Good morning MJ... I decided to take off an hour early today... Between going to school and keeping up with work, I have plenty of overtime this week to steel a few hours here and there. I'm not a fan of uncompensated overtime, at least not at this salary.
I agree. If there's work to be done, they can hire a second person. I always feel guilty when I work long hours.

Not yet MJ. Lock still has a way to go and Rivit has a very small problem that I hope I can nip in the bud. It seems that some of Tribe 2 are very prone to picking them up, or have something in their genes that means they are affected more than the others.
Mag's legs are good now. Hardly any fussiness along at the spur ends and very few raised scales. It's just one of those things that needs regular attention.
