MJ's little flock

It is a great shot.

How do you do it MJ? My lot see me with my camera at the ready and run for the hills!
The snoozes follow from roaming around the whole garden then filling up on the evening's mash. Once the dinner is done, they're exhausted and happy, and they nod off for a few minutes. That's when I silently use the zoom and get a few snoozy shots. I only share the best shot here.

You are getting some wonderful pictures of them. I think this one is definitely picture of the month or calendar worthy. Makes me want to settle in and nap with them (and I only just woke up!).
I think I've mentioned before that if the hens make eye contact with me and I slowly close my eyes, they think it's safe to close theirs too.

Has anyone else tried it?

I remember you saying that and it works with cats so I gave it a go. Mostly I got ignored, but one time someone pecked me on the ankle in a 'hey, pay attention to us!' sort of way!
:lau

Good evening MJ and everyone 🙂

Love how they just keep on snoozing with no regard to you and the camera 😍 you really do get some amazing pictures !!
Thanks! It's because they're over-tired, full of food, and confident in their surroundings. And, right now, they seem to like each other again.

We’ll have to make you an honorary Aussie as well, with your understating. :D Eg a drop-dead gorgeous person might be described by an Aussie as a “bit of alright”.
"He's or she's alright" is completely over the top. Ready your eyes and ears for a feast. Ready your heart's defences.
