I often marvel at how delicate, intricate and sumptuous designs used to be.

I'm so pleased the funrun is chicken proof now. Only trouble is, it doesn't offer a nest yet. The ladies will be back on Monday (there's too much rain forecast for today, good for Ivy, not good for power tools). Maybe we can get the chickens' playthings into the funrun on the weekend, including the little coop which has everyone's favourite nest box. I'm looking forward to seeing the hens in their new run and to the peace of mind.

So happy the funrun is chicken proof - you could put them in there after they are all done laying eggs for the day maybe? At least until Monday.

I'm working through a batch of not great tea a friend gave me. I don't know how far I can take it. At some point it's going to end up in the bin.

Unfortunately i have to be at the office today, so the hens will have to make do with the expanded temporary yard, which has two nests folks use, but only under protest.
