Adieu Bok. Tell Sandy we miss her.Thank you
We are home and I’ve just finished burying her
I’ll be ok. I’m sure it will hit in waves. She is at peace so now I can work on the same thing.
Violet is drawing love hearts with chalk on the paver on top of her resting place.
I have currawongs and rainbow lorikeets flying over, calling while I sit with a glass of wine and toast my old friend.
To Bokky
A life well lived for ISA time.

She will pay the ferryman with a corn cob, a piece of cheese and a flower from our strawberry plants.
Thank you all once more for your support, advice and concern. With Penny I felt sorrow mixed with a big serving of guilt for letting her go on the way she was. I feel I learnt from that so with Bok I feel mostly just sorrow.
I showed her body to the Snow and Belle. Not sure if they get that she’s not coming back but thought it wouldn’t hurt
No she didn’t but she wasn’t an avian specialist. After I told her all the symptoms and she could see her in the carrier so subdued she had no doubt though it was the right thing to do.Adieu Bok. Tell Sandy we miss her.
I'm sorry Scrambles.
Did the vet tell you what she was suffering from?
Thanks Shad, I agree on all pointsShe's lovely and now you must put your energies into the living.
I don't think there can be any doubt you've done the right thing.
You can take comfort in the vet sharing your view that it was time to say goodbye. No she didn’t but she wasn’t an avian specialist. After I told her all the symptoms and she could see her in the carrier so subdued she had no doubt though it was the right thing to do.
