Two more sparrow doors have been blocked with bricks. How long before they make a new door? I'm thinking 20 minutes.

That feels pretty spot on. If there is food available, they are very determined.

It was a wet weekend so I couldn't do much outdoor work. Instead, I drew up some revised concept sketches for the roost. They still need at least one more draft, but when they're ready I'll share them here for feedback.

My latest thought is a half-floor at hip/waist height (really more of a poop catcher). It'd be easier to reach across when cleaning out, but the hens would be protected from the rain and wind by full sized walls and roof, and the food and water hanging underneath won't get pooped in.

Yes. It's planned. I need to save up, have the concrete and rubbish removed, then book in some paving people.

The bricks I'm using are only a temporary measure.
