First time that's ever happened! Janet and Ivy were sitting down, both Mary and Peggy were like statues, just moving a little.
I didn't force them out, I left them in there. I'll go back later to see if they're ready for action.

Oh, just wobbling through the days and doing the normal stuff, like chicken care, taking care of the house and cooking occasionally. Finally got in to see a Neurologist the other day, and she agrees that I don't need to working with children anymore. It wouldn't be safe, with my wobbles and headaches. Thank you for asking

I thought perhaps they were frightened but that doesn't explain Janet and Ivy just sitting there. Perhaps the silence was a little overwhelming for them.

I'm glad she's laying again. Ivy stopped a day or two after Janet started, so with Peggy in the mix, I'm back up to two slow-laying hens, which is just about right. I'm wondering if Mary might even have a short season coming up.
