MJ's little flock

I would plan around that. She will likely use the same nest as she feels it is safe.
That's the reason I provided so many other nests scattered around the run, and why I've been delighted with Janet and Peggy for choosing the laundry basket nest. It means Ivy's favourite nest is not used by her friends.

Every now and then I fantasise about opening an old fashioned tea shop 🫖 🍰🍵 :D🥰 Imagine the walls lined with books, cakes on trolleys, savoury pastries, tablecloths and napkins. Perhaps a shady garden area out the back where Ivy can make an appearance in the afternoons and help people clean up their crumbs. With some mod cons like excellent wifi and coffee for those who don't like tea.
Sounds idyllic! :love

There is a bookshop in a quiet leafy suburb of Brisbane that is almost like that. A friend, who knows Brisbane really well, took me & it was lovely. They had a little verandah out the back where you could sip coffee while browsing the books you might buy 0verlooking the garden & because it was high out across Brisbane proper. It was small but very popular.

You are a smart lady!
I don't know about that, but it seems hens will argue or sit on top of each other when nests are side by side, so scattering nests around the place might provide some options. I don't really know if it'll work long term (maybe Ivy will follow her friends into the laundry basket) but it's something I'm trying.

Oooh! A bounty 🥰
