MJ's little flock

I'm not sure who first thought up the phoenix, Ribh might know, but many say it's an ancient Egyptian figure. Anyway, it's a readily understood and inspirational fiction analogous to much of how people experience life. Peaks and troughs, peaks and troughs, the emotional rhythm of humanity.
You may take your pick. I was taught the mythology arose in Greece. Some sources state Egypt ~ which is disputed due to the corruption of original sources. The Egyptian story is quite different to the one we commonly know.

Today is funeral day. It's been 10 days since she died, that seems like a long time to me but I guess it's necessary when people are coming from afar during a pandemic.

I'm aiming for warm poignancy rather than heartbreak. I fear her mother will be a hair-tearing wreck. Mel is the second daughter she's lost. Tanya was killed long, long ago in a motorcycle crash, also in Tassie. Anyway I hope Mel's mother can keep it together a little for the sake of the kids.

My thoughts are with you today. I cannot imagine how hard it will be. :hugs :hugs

Breakfast looks so good. You are all making me hungry!
And I love your pretty plate!
Thanks so much. I love them. They are all hand made in Italy. I was able to get them on a rediculous sale before Christmas. I could normally have never afforded them. They make every meal special.
