So far it's been a success in terms of hen approval. They'll be cranky the first time a pullet hides under the log pile!Wonderful places for them. Nice job.
That’s wonderful MJ!I took a day off today in case I needed to rest after yesterday's az top up. So of course I worked in the funrun for a few hours
Made a shade shelter out of four logs, some lattice and some leafy branches.

And moved the little coop.

Relocated the wine barrel, tipped it on its side and gave it a screen. I'll put some straw in there tomorrow on top of the soil.

And I piled up all the logs to make a climbing frame and shady shelter.

The hens had a fantastic day inspecting all the works and digging for bugs.

On my travels I tend to visit the junk shops and the charity shops, particulalry in the posh areas. Look what I found.

It's made by a potter called Franz and I believe I've mentioned this potter before but it may have been on Ribh's thread.
I have one other piece packed away somewhere which I bought many years ago. Finding this at charity shop price was very lucky. I just can't imagine why anyone would get rid of it let alone in a charity shop!
