MJ's little flock

I'm a traitor.

I've been deservedly slashed and bitten.

I had to terrify her with shouting before I could put her in her box.

The same box she has treats in every single day. No treats today, she's having bloods done during her senior cat day stay.

That is one angry cat. I would not want to be you. 😨

Oh dear. I feel bad for both of you.
I know exactly what you mean about feeling like a traitor. My vet has started giving me gabapentin to give to the cats before they come in to the vet - it doesn't knock them out but certainly makes them more chill about the whole thing.
You might ask them about that.
I don't love giving them drugs but one of mine was so terrified of going in the car that he always had copious diarrhea before I even got out of the drive. It has solved that problem thank goodness.
Ok, that's great advice. Thank you.

I adopted her at age 10 and she had already learned that she hated boxes

That's an excellent idea. I imagine it works very well.

And I don't want to forget about my feathered friends among all the cat drama.

Excuse Mary's poopy bum please :D

That's what I thought. I have such an image of her now. 😆

Although I more picture her as roller derby than just skating. 😉
I'm sure that's how she imagines herself too, zooming around, bumping into people, chewing her gum, little helmet on, gold chain around her neck to acknowledge femininity.

Poor Blossom - I am glad you are now forgiven.
I adopted my little guy younger than that but he had clearly not been treated well.
He is fine with boxes it is something to do with the car engine or movement specifically, and I imagine he must have had some awful experience in a car.
Before the gabapentin I tried getting him accustomed to the car by sitting in the drive and giving him treats but that didn’t work at all.
Here he is claiming my arm as his pillow just because it is several days until Caturday and he is too yummy not to share.

This one looks a bit too serious.

How about this?

I couldn't find one with a helmet and a gold chain unfortunately. Maybe Blazinga will be inspired by your description. 😁
