You've got me thinking about weighing the hens again. I still don't have a suitable scale.

I was all excited about weighing my hens on their first birthday, but Rema was the only one who would agree to being picked up, so I know that she weighs six pounds and that's it!

Here's Mary! Today she's off the nest at 2.30pm, which is later than usual. But at least I'm home to let them all out of the funrun together.

She's still very glossy.

I thought Golden Comets were a type of Red Sex Link. I really must give up on breeds, every time I think I got something figured out I get muddled again.

They are a type of Red Sex Link so you are correct. The differences in the various sex links is which breed they are crossed with.

Today I am having a healthy low-calorie breakfast!
Two of my girls’ eggs scrambled in a little butter (it has to taste good), topped with shredded cheddar cheese, and my protein powder drink (mixed in coffee).

I really have to work on my “Covid weight”.
