Oh, it wasn't you Bob. It's been in my mind ever since a hawk swooped through the yard a few years ago. It was only small and it hasn't come back, so I assume it decided it couldn't lift a chicken? However, I still live with that memory and the fear it brings.

The other day I was hurrying around the yard, looking under bushes and tables, checking the run and nest boxes....





.... they were on the back of the pergola seat hidden by the wisteria and watching me quizzically. You think they would have answered when I called to them but nooooo..

If they tell you where they are, you'll stop rummaging around the yard and then they wouldn't be able to amuse themselves with your shenanigans. It's the reverse of chicken tv.
