MJ's little flock

That must have lifted your spirits so. What a wonderful house guest. :love

Now let me say. Those Floors! They are spectacular. 🥰
The fellow who does floors for is really very good. He did that floor maybe five years ago.

The timber is old and squeaky! I love it.

In all the excitement of Janet's field trip, I forgot to share these lovely shots of Ivy from last night.

Yes, the alcohol and radio one. The mirror one is lovely too. Much more delicate style. I am enjoying your gorgeous antique furniture. Maybe she wasn't looking for snacks but admiring your furniture too!

(I admired Ribh's rug too 🤗)
And I noticed that too! 🤣

It's been more than a month since her last egg, is that soon? I thought it was about right.
I think that is about right. Ime if they hatch then they don't lay again until the chicks are close to being ready to cope on their own. There have been exceptions, Ruffles for examplle who laid two or three eggs before Mel took the hint and left her to it. Ruffles didn't drive any of her chicks away as such. She just stopped feeding them and eventually the now pullets sort of wandered of.

I'm sure she would have because that's normal. She was 1.7kg yesterday but I don't know what she weighed before. I asked about her weight and Mark wasn't concerned about it.

If a hen kept her weight while setting I'd be worried because that is not right.
They shouldn't lose weight sitting, at least not much.
