Remember the frangipani with the bright pink flowers? It's later flowers are pale pink.

Seems very odd to me but maybe it's normal for frangis? Has anyone else seen this happen?

They seem to last 2-3 weeks but then more open up on the same stem. They smell like citronella.

The suburb is on a sandy peninsula, so things like frangis and hibiscus do well.

Interesting. Do they deter mosquitoes like citronella does?

I've no idea on the mozzies but it should do I guess.

One day it will give a shady canopy in summer and I'll sit under it and see if any mozzies bother me.

I'll get back to you in 20 years, ok?

I think so too.

But the slow and soft close is nice.

Really hoping the pigeons don't work it out.

Hopefully they are not heavy enough.

I'll lock it shut when the hens aren't using it. That will at least confound the pigeons a little.

Such a silly oversight.

The two treadle feeders I have both have gaps underneath. Probably saves on construction costs.
