MJ's little flock

I'm pleased to say there's no trace of Mary's eye injury and she has her pre-broody appetite back.

Here she is, with her healed eye to the camera and dinner all over her beak. That eye was closed for a full day.

What has she got in store for me next, I wonder? A sprained ankle? A cut from her own spur perhaps?
Glad she is all healed up.

In a frenzy, I cut quite a few branches from the thicket searching for Christa, last seen lurking around the thicket an hour previously.

Peggy and Ivy are in this shot. They give you a sense of how big the pile is.

She was hiding behind the ironing board the whole time :barnie

Christa says ":gig"

Well, she is a laundry chicken - and someone has to see to the ironing!
:lau
Sorry. I shouldn’t laugh as I can well imagine how worried you were.

Three broken finger nails.

Woodshavings all over my cardi and in my hair.

A nasty scratch.

Tomorrow there will be a bruise on my right arm.

On Christmas day, when family ask me, "How did you get that awful bruise?"

I shall answer, "Chicken did it."

Christa: :lau:gig:lau
