MJ's little flock

I would love to do something like this. I think it's probably still illegal in France, we're very uptight on using rain water,
My brother's toilets use rainwater until there's none left, then they switch over to mains water. But with only one person living there, the rain water tank is never dry. On the contrary, now I'm thinking about it, I recall one time when he was away for work it overflowed. And we don't get much rain in Adelaide, only 520mm a year (by comparison, Melbourne gets 650mm a year).

Why is France uptight about using rainwater? Surely if you catch it and store it, you can use it for things like the garden and toilets.

raise your concern by mail or letter saying you are worried but waiting for the first storm to see how the roof handles it, and that if there is a problem you will come back to him.
That's exactly what I did, but via text message and immediately after paying the bill, so the message carried a little goodwill and relief with it.

Two cuties relaxing after breakfast.

What are your options if she does turn out to be a cockerel?
If there’s no crowing I’m guessing we can keep them. We’re not allowed roosters because of noise so if there is no noise, no problem! But how many roosters don’t crow? I would have thought the amount was a small proportion.

I think the zoo said they would take any cockerels back, just so long as they don’t become dinner for another animal!
