My brother's toilets use rainwater until there's none left, then they switch over to mains water. But with only one person living there, the rain water tank is never dry. On the contrary, now I'm thinking about it, I recall one time when he was away for work it overflowed. And we don't get much rain in Adelaide, only 520mm a year (by comparison, Melbourne gets 650mm a year).I would love to do something like this. I think it's probably still illegal in France, we're very uptight on using rain water,
Why is France uptight about using rainwater? Surely if you catch it and store it, you can use it for things like the garden and toilets.
