I thought Wordle was meant to be the same all over the world?

There are lots of spin-offs. One of my favorites is called sedecordle where you solve 16 wordles simultaneously. It is quite a clever design. I find it requires slightly different skills from regular Worlde so I try not to do them back to back.

Wait… did I miss something about Joyce being unwell?

She's an ISA Brown, and it makes her a little unwell every day.

It's strange because I'd expect a hybrid laying hen to feel unwell from ovulating which would be early in the day, but Joyce's fine all day until the evening cool settles in and then she takes up the penguin pose, shuts her eyes and shivers a little. Although it's unlikely, it seems the cold sets her off.

Janet found a comfy perch on the edge of the basket and stayed put for almost the entirety of the drive home, which was roughly 40 minutes. She took great interest in the gear changes. She's going for her driving test next year.

It's the most incredible photo. I just realised it looks like she's floating. I guess that's due to the angle of the bright morning sun.

Seriously, that's her bad eye towards the camera. The swelling has reduced by maybe 75%. She looks awful all over, but that's the moult.

In other news, the youngsters have cracked the puzzle of the treadle feeder! A moment ago, I saw the two of them face deep in mid-morning snacks.

That's great !

I got one last summer, but the hens never figured it out. They were really scared of the movement and would rather starve than use it. Then I propped it open for them until I saw a vole helping itself to the food. It's now in storage.

Yours figuring it out gives me hope. Maybe I should try again once we have above freezing temperatures as it seems like the metal footplate would be rather cold .
