MJ's little flock

I agree. I wish people would talk to their neighbors. It just doesn't happen anymore.
I'm very lucky to know most of my neighbours, 8 households. We look out for each other and are kindly in our actions. I went out of my way to say how much I liked hearing Rocky the rooster crow.

But it hasn't always been like that. Other neighbourhoods are tough to crack.

Thanks MJ. I posted but I’m not holding my breath. Plus it’s going to cost us $400 to get the vet to euthanise them (legally required to have an initial consult if they haven’t seen them before) so it looks like we have no option but the zoo. :hit
Maybe the zoo will keep them because they're so pretty :hugs

It's extremely windy and wet. So much, I'm sitting on a roost in the big coop because it's the driest seat within close proximity to the hens.

The only one keeping me company is Janet, who's taking her time with her dinner. The others are under the bushes.

Cross your fingers that I have found them a forever home! :fl Thank you for the suggestion of posting to that Aussie page, I had pretty much given up. :hugs
I am hoping for a good issue🤞.

And also, could you not ask the council for a week more saying you are looking to re-home them ? I mean, just getting a vet appointment in ten days is short! Who knows, if this possibility doesn't work, maybe something else can show up ?

I’m hoping we can rehome them this weekend. :fl I don’t know flexible/inflexible the council would be.
