MJ's little flock

Time for another facepalming panda because I dropped and broke all four eggs that were laid today by hanging the egg basket on a branch and almost immediately knocking it down with my shoulder.

What a tragedy.

Taking a moment during lunch to say Janet's beak trim went well. Her top beak is now the same size as her lower beak.

Dr Mark held her head, looked carefully, looked again, then used his proper vet snippers on it. It was over in moments. He thought anaesthesia was disproportionate to the problem. Fair enough, he knows more about beaks than I do.

Since then, Jan has been relearning her beak.

The first day she was using the angled approach she developed when her beak was overgrown, and taking a long time to pick up a pellet. The second day she dropped the angled approach but she was taking a few attempts before getting close enough to pick anything up. Today is her third day and when I threw down a pellet for her this morning, she picked it up with normal dexterity.

On the whole, I'd say it was a successful intervention.
Wonderful news. Amazing how they need to adapt after a change like that.

I'm not sure I have anything you would like. I'm a tea neophyte and certainly not worldly. Of course you could be talking about someone other than me.
I was talking to you and RC :D

The sampling of unknown teas will be a very fun adventure!

We're unlikely to agree on which tea was best because our palates are so different. So don't feel shy Bob!
