MJ's little flock

I did it 😂! What a victory!
I'm proud of you!!

Like @ManueB I was wondering about the pipe feeders - having one all to yourself sounds good - but I think in the Chicken Palace someone would creep up behind you and peck you in the rear to get you to move on!

I did the puzzle as a way of forcing myself to relax while I raced around getting ready to leave. I really like the puzzles and it was a lovely picture. Thank you for making it for us.
Mary's pretty good at ignoring pecks while she's shoulder deep in the pipe feeder. Peggy learned the only way to get Mary out of there is to shove her beak into the feeder in under Mary's chin and liiiift :gig

So glad you found the puzzle distracting! I like making them :)

@RoyalChick I forgot to mention I tried a different kefir product. It's far more liquid than the previous one and it's not lactose free.

It perked Janet up the very next day! So I'm providing it every second night for a week, then we'll see how the team is coping. I might give them a break from it until Janet slows down again, or I might keep it going. It all depends on how the hens adjust to it.

I can so visualize the 'liiiift'!!

Because I make my own I have no idea if mine is lactose free.
I know that the kefir grains that ferment the milk use up lactose and I also know that the longer you let it ferment, the thicker it gets. So I wonder if the new one is simply fermented for fewer days.

Hmmm must be.

The previous, thicker one didn't have such a miraculous effect. I couldn't get it any more, so had to try the new product.

Make your own! It is absurdly simple.
Tbh, I'm already overcommitted with 2 national boards, one of which I chair, in addition to my full time professional commitments to my employer. And the building work. And the chickens. And the cat. And family and friends, although they're the source of joy so it seems unkind to call them a commitment.

I hesitated before buying an African violet, and they're quite independent once their wicking system is set up.

I haven’t had an African Violet in years. Sounds like a cactus is more your speed at the moment!
