After two days off, Katie has laid a very beautiful egg.

Two days is a long break for Katie. She usually takes only one day.

The speckles seem to have formed around tiny bumps in the shell. I hope she's ok.

From the way Doggo approached the door, it looks like she thought she'd arrived home from walking.

It was hot today, so Katie made the most of the air-conditioning.

In that position, she's in the shade, with her feet in water, and with a breeze on her comb. Smart hen.

Technically, yes, but dogs are not required to be on a lead when walking on the beach near me. I guess whoever was walking that dog hadn't bothered to put its lead back on.

I'm told the posts are being unpacked, painted with undercoat, and stored in the living room today. It's nice when something happens 'on site' as the builder calls it!

The living room is the most secure, convenient and safe place for the posts to await installation once they're unpackaged. It was my suggestion. I deliberately cleared the space 18 months ago. I've spread drop sheets over the floor to prevent damage.
