MJ's little flock

Your trips to the beach have inspired me. I'm sitting riverfront park in the city's downtown (Harrisburg). It's the closest water to me.

How about this shot of the Market Street Bridge? It's 71°F (22.6°C). An absolutely splendid spring day.

And what a spot to sit and eat a few sandwiches!

How wonderful! I love seeing photos of where people live; it’s the next-best thing to visiting.

I often think of you, Bob, when I’m in a scenic setting, and take a photo.

Thanks MJ! Our local council has done a wonderful job making the foreshore a beautiful place for families to be outdoors together.
They really have!

At the beach near my place the council is re-doing the playground and toilets. The playground is going to have a icecream theme. It'll be chocablock with families next summer! Great news for the kiosk.

Quite often hubby and I will go for an evening ride and on warm evenings, the reserve is full of families playing on the playgrounds and having bbqs, even as it’s getting dark.

Love it. Communities are being built every time someone says gday to another in a shared space like that.

I was reading about third places today. Home and work are first and second places, shared spaces like gyms, parks, playgrounds, ovals, beaches, cafes, libraries ... are third places and have a direct impact on well-being for the people who use them.
