Glad the old girl has it going well. Spring is comingIvy laid her first egg of the season today!
She inspected the little coop and said no thanks (quite a surprise because it had been her firm favourite for a long time!) then laid it in one of the new nest boxes, which only Peggy had used in the past. I'll clean out all the boxes and put a bit more straw in now the team are coming out of Winter holidays.Glad the old girl has it going well. Spring is coming
How sweet! I love when Eve gets to help collect eggs. She inspected the little coop and said no thanks (quite a surprise because it had been her firm favourite for a long time!) then laid it in one of the new nest boxes, which only Peggy had used in the past. I'll clean out all the boxes and put a bit more straw in now the team are coming out of Winter holidays.
And the real joy of it all is that my cousin's little boy was here for lunch with his grandpa and greataunty at the time, so he collected the egg!
