MJ's little flock

Exactly! You can see why I didn't give a second thought! I just got in the car, looked at the petrol gauge, and off I went!
I asked around if anyone local does Campines ~ obviously! 🤣 Sure is! He's a couple of hours away!🤣🤣🤣 I didn't blink @ that one either ~ but then, despite the distances there's so little traffic, driving is a pleasure.

That's what I found yesterday too. I was out of the suburbs on the easy roads for almost all of it. Even the right hand turn back onto the Sturt Highway as I left Laucke's was a piece of cake. So few cars and they were miles away.

Yep ~ & round here all the blokes travel well over the speed limit on the straight so you move along @ a good pace.

This morning there was another bantam sized white egg laying on the ground, but it was outside the coop. I thought oh well, CO A is a dud then, but how the heck did she get it out of the coop? Of course she hadn't. It was either a very small egg from Ivy or it was Edie's first egg of the season. I'm leaning towards Edie because Ivy usually leaves hers in nest boxes.

So Mary has all four eggs this morning and she hasn't left the spot where she sat yesterday, which is about as far from the ramp as possible.

I'll try to get her new chick-friendly ramp in place this weekend so she can get used to it before hatch date.

Did working from home go away?
Unfortunately it did for many people. The roads are just as full as they were before COVID on Monday/ Tuesday and Thursday. It seemed Wednesday and Friday became national ‘work at home’ days. These 2 days are too difficult to set up a team meeting because we have many part-time workers. underlying reason: Wednesday/Friday afternoon many children are free from school.
