Ivy is an amazing hen. In four years she has never had a health problem, not even a sniffle.

I'm not counting the early days when Peggy was plucking her tail out.

I hope I'm not speaking too soon, but I am so glad the little ones are thriving, unlike dear little Lorna who I had to crop feed for a few weeks a couple of years ago. That was very hard to do and go through.

She's sensitive about her place in the pecking order, having held the wooden spoon for a couple of years before Katie and Edie joined the gang.

It's understandable but I don't have to be happy about it.

Aurora has let Hattie sleep in the main coop the last 3 nights. Ever since I fixed up the heater in the Cluckle Hut for Hattie, she has not stayed there once.

The old dear is doing very well these days. She is moving better than she did this summer. I've even seen her run flapping her wings!
