MJ's little flock

Me too. Lovely birds. I think she'll be a little bigger than Mary when she's fully grown. And the feathered legs and feet aren't a risk factor because of the extremely sandy soil.

My brother loves what he calls the mocassin crew. I haven't had the heart to tell him Ivy's died. To be honest, I'm continuing to struggle with her absence.
She was such a wonderful lady I can understand why you miss her. She was one of the most unique beauties I have ever seen with such a pleasant personality. One of the special ones.

:hugs :hugs :hugs

It's another gorgeous day, so I'll be doing a few more magnet sweeps where the pullets run will be. It would be nice for them to have some time out of their coop tomorrow.

That said, they are very chilled out in their coop, with is far less crowded than the coops they came from.

I had such a wonderful night babysitting my little nephews 🥰 they had made Lego chickens to surprise me and I brought matchbox cars and donuts as a surprise for them 🥰 we watched a movie and did some dancing, then they went off to bed without any fuss.

That's the best.:thumbsup

Bob, you wanted to see the pullets' run. I've just put it together. They haven't used it much yet, but they will in time.

Edit: I didn't do it on purpose, but it turns out that if I open the coop door and the human door to the run, they can be attached to each other. That means the pullets can be excluded from their coop and contained within their run at any time. So now I can do my pullet chores in the coop before dark.

That is really well done. It will be a great space for them. You made good use of the space on hand. Thanks so much for sharing!

FYI: I think we also call them puppy panels.

It's a few hours later and all 3 are using the run. They've explored across to the woodshed but not along the side or back.

I'm just uploading a video of the pullets enjoying themselves.

Edit: the video.
