MJ's little flock

This afternoon the back porch security perimeter was breached.

She stayed four minutes, three of which were spent building up the courage to leave again 🤣

Nothing like house chickens.

Changing the subject: I'm in the market for a new suitcase, check-in sized but not one of the really huge ones. Any recommendations? Durability without paying too much would be great. Good zips. And I prefer hard over soft.
Away makes a very nice bag for hard sided.

I have only used travel pro for all of my millions of miles of business travel. In 35 years I just got my 3rd one maybe 4 years ago now. But they are soft sided.

He literally appears to have had no change in how or what he eats. Now I have never given large slabs of meat that need gnawing - but my guess is he would still have a go if I did.
He eats the same canned food as everyone else and dry kibble and the odd scrap of meat from kitchen leftovers.
He is also still my best mouser and leaves dead mice as gifts for me on the floor.
The vet said he had a gene (apparently common) that causes cats to absorb their own teeth - destroying them from the gum line. Some fall out spontaneously but they can go nasty and rot. So he has had surgery a few times to remove teeth that were causing him pain.
He seems a happy one-fanged cat.
In suitcases I have always used TravelPro wheeled bags. They seem very sturdy. Mine aren’t hard shell, but like all wheelie bags they are rigid frames not like a hold-all that doesn’t have much structure. Mine get a lot of wear and tear and do well.
I got my first one because it was what all the flight attendants had. I never regretted getting a travel pro. Why did your get your first one?

Exact same reason and I love it. I had Samsonite before and find TravelPro much better.
My TravelPro is purple which distinguishes it from the flight attendants’ bags.

Good choice on the color. :thumbsup Mine is light blue. Looks like nothing else.
My tired old suitcase is green.

I still tie ribbons on its handle though. Just in case.

I think I will go for the travelpro hard case. It's not excessively pricey. The reviews are either 5 or 1 star. Most of the 1 stars comment on the poor quality of after sales service.

Unfortunately the only vendor in Australia is am az on. So there's no chance of inspecting before buying. And there's no service centre in Australia.

Still a bit more reading and thinking to do before committing to a purchase. There's a brand designed and manufactured in Melbourne which would have far better after sales service in my case. But those are more expensive and the reviews are not as good.
