It's hard to capture on camera, but you can see a little bit.

That is a really great pic, you can see the green! I can never get it to show in pics! I have one named Thyme, she looks amazing when the sun hits her!

My husband commented just last nite..as he was sitting outside on the porch swing..
When there is nothing else to do ..it is nice to just sit here & watch the chickens..they are an amusing group!

Then add in the geese & ducks...well we have nearly got a road show going on here!

I bet you'll see some purple too soon! Australorps are very eye catching in the sun.

Yes, Australorps are purple! You didn't know??

Just kidding, I meant that mine developed not only a green sheen, but a purple sheen on their feathers also.

I didn't have SQ ones either.
