Mod Question?! Now getting multiple chicken related spam........

If you're getting spam, how would you know it's coming from BYC and not some other source? I get spam but no idea where they get my info??? Are you assuming it's coming from here because it's chicken related? I do have my email blocked on here, form email only available.

It is within the past week that I've started getting them.

ETA - the email address I used here is one I've only used for getting large file attachments and for this forum for the most part.

yup, he was one of them... this is what I've sent him.

hey, I got this email from you to check out the Blog. Although I appreciate the invite, I don't appreciate you sending me an email to do so. Please use other means and remove my email address from your list. Wordpress gets word about you sending out unsolicited email to generate blog traffic, they will delete your account and shut you down.

I got the same one in my PM box last night. My email is no longer available in my profile, so I guess they couldn't get to it.

As for the other one, a post here on BYC? If you suspect spam, hit the Report button, they'll check it out. Don't respond to it, it bumps it to the top again.
 
Just remembered something- I may not have gotten email as opposed to a PM because I delete cookies and temporary files 3-4 times a week.
I'm using IE 8.
