Modified hoop coop idea, been done?

well it's not in large coop articles.. I did a seach for cattle panels and before my computer died I found something similar w/- much info . I think I got to page 17 in the seach

This ridge pole is then supported by 2 x 4's on end walls.

Ahhhh....for some reason I didn't picture the "supported by end walls part"..DOH!

But I'm not sure how the panels will behave in a half hoop shape.

You could always cut 8 or 16" off one end of the panel to make it fit your available space.

Or even trench that extra length under ground to hold a vertical skirt in place.

Full hoop off the run door, not sure I'd have the height to clear the door. Then it seems snow would get piled up between one side and the barn wall. Would make kind of a crack.

I didn't mean to post that, and have now removed it.
You would have to rig an angled roof off barn wall over hoop to deflect snow.

Fairly accurate, but there's some flexibility on how you set the curve of a livestock panel.
'Catenary curve' is defined by a hanging chain and misapplied in that illustration.

That door is 36 wide by 84 high so definitely a factor in anything I come up with.
