Duckyboys-where are you? Want some or all of them? Hope you live close to NJ!
crazedguinea- They rearranged orders I think so they'd have 3 girls to make my order right. They had the Breeder handpick these and vent sex them to be sure...Nice Hatchery!

I'll try that with the waterer too. my Ducklings were smaller than the goslings, but they got along in the brooder just fine. The ducks (adults) make a big mess with water, mud, poo, etc. They don't mind it a bit. I do though.

I get so muddy if its wet out there and always forget to put on my barn boots...my shoes get messy everyday from it. Yuck! I'll let my geese freerange once they are old enough to go outside...I cleared out a shed we have for them. I'll just cover the floor with straw and put some water buckets and some feed in there for them when they need that. We've got about 2 acres of grass for them to help mow. Once I move my Mandarins into their own pen, the big ducks will help mow the grass too. My Guineas are in with the adult chickens right now, but they'll be out soon also. We're finishing up the newest pen this weekend...hope DH gets the door figured out though. I love my Swedish and Cayuga ducks- very mild mannered. Maybe a little skittish, but never aggressive. The more, the merrier here.

Oh I see you are in Colorado..wish you were closer...I'd give you all of them and try to work out a Mandie/Woodie trade too. I need new Mandie bloodlines, and would love to get Wood Ducks too.

new pics of the 3 week olds Penny (Penelope), Petey, Paulie, and Paco...They are growing ssooooo fast! They played outside all afternoon in their playpen and loved eating the grass! Now they poop dark green in the brooder box. Ugh.

no new postings lately? guess we've all been busy. chickenlisa-how are things going with the baby girls? did you try combining the age groups yet? i am starting to run out of room in the brooder due to the rapid growth. i had them out for a little this am in the coop with the guineas-so i could clean the brooder out, and all went well but the rhodies were upset i moved their geese friends, so back in the geese went again for now. i think "move out" day is quickly approaching, and the rhodies will have to wait to be with their geese once they are larger too. i also had them outside yesterday, opened the playpen and they followed me all over-except into the barn and into the coop. hope they don't try to follow me in my car out the driveway when they are older though.
