Molting and cleaning up all those feathers

Yes, but many people unknowingly have mites and house them by not cleaning out these molted feathers. It is safer to clean the coop of all feathers to prevent a major mite/nits issue rather than have them live in their own filth.

Molted feathers only are a problem when the chickens themselves have mites/lice. If you did treat your chickens for mite/lice if they had it, then it would be safer to clean out the feathers.

My chickens don't have mite's I just wanted to make sure they didn't get them because of the feathers, thanks everybody!
