molting

My Buff Orpingtons must be molting but they have been losing feathers for a month (no eggs) and still aren't bare. How long does it take? I want my eggs back.

molting can take months it just depends on the bird i have one molting now and she hasnt layed an egg in 2 and a half months

I have several birds that have recently molted and some molting now. Some of the birds the feather loss was very evident and other not so much. There are different degrees of molts. Some are hearvier/harder than others. Most birds will slow down significantly or stop laying all together while they are molting and can last for a month or more.

More questions about molting! I have four different breeds, do they molt at the same time? most have not lost all feathers, you would never know, but I have not gotten any eggs for 6 weeks I mean zero! they don't sit in the boxes. But outside of that they seem fine- help I don't want to feed them all winter if I am not getting any eggs.
