Monster coyote track

Killed one in December that went about 50 pounds. I will try and post a photo.

In 2017 a deer hunter on my property shot a 53 # female coyote. She was recovering from mange and was not in peak condition. I would guess that in peak condition she would be near 60 #. Her feet were no where near as large as the animal that made the prints posted by the OP. Understand that I am one of those 'crazy Northerns' to whom Centrarchid referred.

It will be interesting what your game camera will show. I have several on my property and I get pictures on one of my cameras of a predator, usually a coyote or fox.
Here is a coyote caught on one of the cameras a couple of nights ago.

I knock on wood daily our shepard does care for the property

I got 3 GSDs--they are good deterrants for raccoons, oppossuns, skunks, etc. I would never put them up against coyotes. Right now it's mating season and food is scarce. They are meaner and hungry. As big as my dogs are they are supervised when outside. I try to go ecerything possible to make sure all animals are protected.

Coyotes are good for sending one in, dog chases and the rest of the pack are waiting to make the kill. A large dog is a meal for them.
