We named them when they were still babies - Curly, Lil Blue, Jubal, Black Jack, Big Red - I have been trying to think of names for this baby that hatched out red. One of the other chicks that hatched and looks blondish buff is turning redder like Tim suggested. So I need a list of firey red names.

Great looking birds MissPrissy! I was wondering if you are currently housing all of your cockerels together and what your plans are for them as they get older. Will you separate them until needed, or give them all their own girls? I am facing some rooster dilemmas and need some ideas.

The young cockerals are still in the pens with the pullets they hatched from.

In the next month we will have some more pens ready in the barn and they all will get their own girls. Some will rotate out the door or go in the freezer.

Katy - I have 9 new bbs orps in the upstairs brooder, plus the red orp - buff orp trio.

I have a couple dozen more eggs in the bator too :| red and blue.

Plus I want some blrw.
